MS PAINT????????????
Hi all, when I was a lad I used to draw alot and most of it was one dimensional side profile car and truck stuff. So when I first got a computer in the mid nineties I was stoked to find it had a drawing program. Recently I was spring cleaning and found some old floppy discs and these are a couple of things that I drew at the time. They are all drawn from scratch.
BMW Group A Touring Car
HDT Commodores
XC Sundowner copied from a book of Falcon brochures
Falcon Engine cutaway from a Ford XD sales brochure. Obviously I had some spare time on my hands when I did this one.
They looked bigger on the tiny screen that my first computer had. I found dozens of discs with all sorts of cars, planes, ships and tanks on them so I thought I'd share a couple with you just for a giggle.
Cheers SS

Re: MS PAINT????????????
Did you draw these using a mouse...?
Clearly you had a talent for digital illustration and an interest in advertising. I'd be curious to know what you do for a crust these days.

Re: MS PAINT????????????
Good work. MS Paint can be surprisingly flexible if you persevere with it. I used to draw bikes & scooters in it.

Yep It's all me (and my mouse). I don't know about advertising but I have always had an interest in technical drawing.
As for my job, I'm a metal polisher. Not a lot of scope for creativity but that's why I'm a modeller.

Re: MS PAINT????????????
These are great. Great work seeing it was only paint.
I did this one on paint as well. But I cheated I drew it then scanned it then used paint to do the lines and colour. It is not as good as yours and it is not a great drawing but shrunk and on a business card it looks okay.

Yeah It's fairly flexible, but you have to tell yourself that it's not supposed to be anything but the most basic of drawing applications. Once you learn what some of the tools do, it's a breeze.
I only ever did one bike.
Wasn't 100% happy with the way it looked so I never did another one.

Re: MS PAINT????????????
I've switched to using MS Powerpoint to draw with. You lose the ability to change individual pixels but curves are smooth.
