Re: Mods and Rockers
Great work, the detail on the building is awesome, and the paint is very good

Re: Mods and Rockers
Nice.
What scale?
Some observations - your mods look to be a bit on the old side (most were kids whereas rockers tended to be ex-national servicemen and so older than the mods) and there would have been Lambrettas as well as Vespas.
However if you can't get the kits or the figures than what can you do?
Also, if the bikes had been parked for more than 2 minutes then there would be oil on the ground beneath them.
Very well done though. Can't fault you on your technique.
What made you choose this subject?

Re: Mods and Rockers
Scale is 1/18. Re observations - Agree on some of your points. I build dioramas for fun. I dont take things to seriously. Vespa models can be found easily, Lambrettas close to impossible though I do have one in 1/12 and 1/24 scales.
Why choose the subject .... I love bikes. Never been a scooter fan but I really enjoy using them in dioramas for some reason.
Will attach a few more pics

Re: Mods and Rockers
Fun is good (It's a hobby so if you're not having fun you might as well give up) and accuracy is for grown ups and military modellers.
That's why it was observations and not criticism.
It's just that I used to be slightly obsessed with the Mods & Rockers era and the birth of bike culture in the UK and have read too many books on the subject.
TFOA? The Fathers of Anarchy?

Re: Mods and Rockers
Thanks guys for the kind words.
Zenrat - TFOA ,,,,, I had thought more along the lines of The Figurines of Anarchy.- And I share a similiar obsession to yours. That 60's Cafe Race style bike and the Ace Cafe scene I think was great. Probably my inspiration for building this dio.
TFOA is The Front of Armament. These figures are collectables relating to a Japanese comic named Crows Worst. The detail on them is great and they are perfect in size for 1/18 scale.

Re: Mods and Rockers
You'll have watched Quadrophenia a few times then?
I grew up 10 miles North of Brighton where they filmed the seaside parts of the film and where some of the real "Battles of the Beaches" took place.
