I've got a '49 Merc Gasser planned using the Revell kit.
That 2nd pics a Buick isn't it Bryce?
You're right, it'd be a great build.

Re: Random Inspiration!!
The silver and magenta Caddy is a '68 model series 683 Coupe de Ville. The other Cadillac coupe, 'Fleetwood Eldorado', for '68 looks completely different, as it was a front drive car based off the Oldsmobile Toronado platform.
The Buick is a '49 Super, Series 50 Sedanette. The Series 40 was continued in '49 but used the '48 body with the new front sheetmetal. The series 50 shared a new body with the Roadmaster series. However the Roadmaster has different front sheetmetal, aligned to it's longer wheelbase. The Roadmaster series are easy to pick as they have four portholes in each front fender. The model pictured was Buick's second biggest selling model for the '49 model year.

Re: Random Inspiration!!
The Modelhaus Resin kits are very well done as I have around 6 ( I think) from them and I imported a '61 Buick Invicta Coupe for a customer about 10 years ago and also a Chevy pickup. My first Modelhaus Build was a "58 Plymouth Fury as I wanted something different that wasn,t available in Kits. I had listings from almost all the Resin Kits at the time and there really was and still is a lot misc variety if you want to go to the extra expense of resin for something out of the ordinary, eg; a "49 Ford Custom Panel . I am planning to get a " 59 Ford Fairlane Station Wagon from Jimmy Flintstone for the same reason : like them so much that I,m inspired to build one.

Re: Random Inspiration!!
i got the flintsone 59 fairlane its a nice kit but only comes with a body and bumpers, a donor kit is required, however its a bit cheaper than most, mine was US$22 from star models, rekon its pretty good value compared to some, i also have the jaymar one, its a waste of resin and doesnt even come with bumpers.

Re: Random Inspiration!!
I'd prefer to get just the body/bumpers kit as I would use the donor kit that is near enough to suit eg ;the 59 Buick Invicta , I matched with R/M 59 Chev Impala Kit, so for the '59 Fairlane Wagon I will consider the new '61 Ford Starline if the wheelbase is the same.
