"Knotabyke" Empty "Knotabyke"

Post by Paul Wed 04 Mar 2009, 11:49 am

Knotabyke..............not a bike...............gotta have something to mess with whilst in the middle of my Bike-a-thon right?

I've been toying with these wheels for about.....oh.....um 2 years or so and now they look useful on this project,
"Knotabyke" Wheels1
They are 2 part Pegasus 23" rims and the fronts have been narrowed and XS tuning tyres stretched over them whilst the rear plastic rim has been ditched in favour of some Pegasus 23" Aluminium sleeves that are now custom machined to take the inner rims and given plenty of dish for the modern look!

Here's what there going onto, a JOHAN '62 Chrysler 300..............body will remain stock along with the interior and Paint and engine are still undecided.

"Knotabyke" Mock2

Oh but don't hold your breath as there's no rush to get it done....................just be tinkering in between all my other projects I got going on here, so whudaya think?

They don't have a huge parts count but that's part of the appeal to me,

I'm seeing a lot of these JoHan kits lately. I like what you have done with the wheels, body looks good even in the coral colour.

This'll be good.
I had one of these (or maybe it was a '63?) when I was young. I trashed it obviously.
Now I see them for upwards of $60 Sad

With those wheels Allan she'll be pure Street Machine/Pro Tourer, but 2 tone paint is still on the options list.
