Yeah I always save 'em - I got sick of losing parts, so sealed containers are the solution!
Thanks for the nice words guys.

Re: ’40 Ford Coupe
I dusted this one off and polished it up last night. It’s next in line for completion.

Re: ’40 Ford Coupe
Thanks for the nice words guys - having trouble deciding on induction options for this one.
I had planned to run a Hilborn-style injection set up on this but it won’t fit under the hood and I am kind of reluctant to cut a hole in it at this point…LOL So I found a twin four manifold that fits – just not sure what to put on top.
So here’s my shortlist of available options – let me know what you think.
OPTION A - Triangular mesh style air cleaners.
OPTION B - Mr Gasket bug catcher style scoop.
OPTION C – Cast alloy (Hilborn?) Style scoop.
OPTION D – Ridiculously large velocity stacks.
OPTION E - Cast alloy multiple carb air cleaner.
I also have this tri-power set up, but not real keen on it as it’s a bit tame for this beast…

Bryce
Why not Hilborn with shorter stacks?
or
a SCOT blower for it
or the low rise blower set up from the AMT 57 Chev

Re: ’40 Ford Coupe
If that's what your working with I'd say "C" , but if it was mine I'd throw some polished Alloy on top (Give me a diameter and I can whip 2 up for you if ya want!)
.......I ran one of those aircleaners in option "A" on my first car and the foam loved to catch on fire, safer option was going back to the stock aircleaner

Re: ’40 Ford Coupe
I'm with Chris - the S.C.o.T. blower with sidedraught Webers from the AMT old mould '57 Chev should fit a treat under that bonnet.
Failing that I vote Tripower - Not much less power than dual quads at full throttle, better cruising economy and anyway, how much power can those skinny rear put down?

Re: ’40 Ford Coupe
Thanks for all the feedback guys – it really helps me think!
Yeah I think that might just be the way to go...I will have to have a play around and see what I can come up with.
They’re not actually all that skinny Fred. Don’t tell the purists, but they’re Goodyear radials with a painted sidewall…

Re: ’40 Ford Coupe
I won't tell them if you don't. But I don't think they are THAT fussy. As long as the profile is correct and they're not massively wide.

You'd be surprised - the rivet counters are everywhere!
I cut the stacks down this afternoon and this is much better! And it fits under the hood too!

Re: ’40 Ford Coupe
Great car, too beautiful. His work is very good, perfect. I liked the color.
I liked this one:
OPTION D – Ridiculously large velocity stacks.
I'll be watching.
Hugs.
