thanks guys , Fred, one of the guys in our club is a glazier so he's made up a glass case for it. I'll pick it up on club night this Thursday as we have a display at the Kumeu classic car and hot rod festival this weekend.

Aha. Thought maybe it was something like that. You could put it away I suppose but work that good should be on show.
I have a (very long term) plan for a workshop dio and one of the first things i'm going to do is make a wooden framed perspex cover that will slide over the top and latch down to the base.
