Nail Art?
Hi guys, I have been using flocking powder that is designs for finger nails and it works really well and looks a lot like carpet, I got 12 colours for about $3.50, I just bought a pack of 24 colours to restock, it has earthy colours like browns, tan, greys also bright stuff in it like blue, purple, red etc. the first lot were only little 2gram containers but was just enough to do 1 build if you don't throw it all over the table.
Then I used False nails to make a air scoop for my last rat rod and it looked sweet, I bought a whole packet of false nails for $3 at the reject shop, they are basically just curved bits of hard plastic very similar to styrene, got them in my stash now if I ever need a curved piece of plastic I have a whole lot of different sizes.
So I have been checking out what else this mysterious girly world of finger nail art has to offer us model building freaks and there is a hell of a lot of cool stuff that could be used to detail models and its bloody cheap.
I know they now have a mirror chrome nail polish I wouldn't mind trying.
I'm going to visit my sister and raid her nail art stock pile tomorrow to see what I can use, I know one thing she has that I'm going to steal, they make striping tape that starts at 0.5mm wide, now I know that would be perfect for masking custom lowrider paint jobs. I'm getting some tomorrow to see how it goes, this could open a whole new world of pimping.
Has anybody else used any of the nail arts stuff? what have you tried? how did it go?

Re: Nail Art?
I have about 50 jars of nail polish, most of them i brought at the one time, that was hard to explain to the checkout girl i can tell you.....
I also have some fingernail pin stripe tape, i think i got 12 rolls of metallic colors for $5.00, delivered from jap land.
I also tried some of those body stick-on necklaces that young girls wear, they are pretty cool, but i tried to use it as a mask, bad move, it took an hour to remove all the glue residue, but next time i will ise some on a lowrider build and try shading around them and over then, and they can stay, will see how well it works i suppose .

Re: Nail Art?
I thought it was just me who has their photo behind the cash register at the chemist under the "weirdos" heading but apparently not! Don't think it helped when my Mrs rocked up to the young lass and said how strange my purchase looked, denying that she knew me!

Re: Nail Art?
Look up Konad nail transfers. I bought a bunch of designs, just haven't had the chance to use them very much. I also have the nail-tape, its pretty cool, but I don't thin I'd use it on the exterior of a model.
I get all for my nail art supplies to use on models from Aliexpress.
