Here’s one I did for a ’37 group build the AMCC held a couple years’ back. I had always wanted to build a ’37 three window coupe, so I grafted the roof from an old Monogram ’36 onto the top of the Revell street rod kit. The body is heavily channelled over the chassis – a mod that caused loads of problems later down the track and I also extended the front fenders and tried to lay the grill back a bit to give it a bit more style. The wheels are from the Revell California Wheels kit. They are great looking wheels, but the fronts are a bit too tall for a street rod I reckon.

I was never entirely happy with the results, but I learnt a hell of a lot in the process and can trace all my current skills back to this build.

Enjoy:
