Post by Tubman Fri 05 Dec 2008, 10:58 pm

Just finished this for a guy at work as a replica of his new toy.
I started with the AMT 66 Muzzy kit, then threw the chassis away. I used the chassis and running gear from the AMT 67 fastback kit, I also cut the engine bay out of the 67 and glued it in the 66. As anyone that has done the 66 kit knows, the engine bay is crap. The 67 stuff fits nicely. The only chassis mod was to cut the tranny tunnel out because in the 67 this makes up the floor for the interior but I was using the 66 tub so it wouldn't all fit. Sorry, not to many in progress pics. Wheels are from the 55 Nomad kit and tyres are from my parts box. Colour is Monza red.

Nice conversion - certainly breathes a bit of life into that tired old kit!
