Re: Kilmore Model show, 29/03/09
I just confirmed with Clive and this show is still on for the 29th (F1 day ) so who's heading to it? at this stage I'm going (as a modeller not a trader) and as far as I know Koolkits will be set up there, also think TPB as well.

I'll be there. I am going to display some of my stuff for the 1st time ever. How many models can you display & what does it cost.

Good on you Frank! it will be good to see your stuff on the tables. You can take as many models as you wish and it's $2 per model capped at $10. See you there

Hmmmm. I'd be going but I spent last weekend motorbiking the roads around Gippsland and need to show my face at home.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

Re: Kilmore Model show, 29/03/09
Well..........what can I say about today's show........
- They no longer judge by the NNL format (where the Entants Vote) so it was judged by the organizers
- Apparently "DIECASTS" are models that are Judged good enough to beat "BUILT STYRENE KITS" in a Plastic model show.......
- Last year the traders area was slim pickings if you wanted to buy a kit, but this year there where HUNDREDS of them!!! and yes I bought a few.
- I caught up with lots of people including , the Parts Box, Frank from Model Art, Frank from right here who also took along a swag models for the show( On ya Mate ), Spiritman and lots more.
- I gotta say I had a great time today, unfortunately most of that was not inside the show!
- Congrats to Andy for placing 2nd in Competition cars and 1st in Pre '50 cars
Oh and sorry to disappoint but......I forgot to take a camera!! so you all will have to wait for either Andy or Frank to post some pix up.............failing that there might be some in a Future issue of Model Art magazine!!

Looks like a good turnout...
...but take away the diecasts and how many would be left?
Wish i'd gone now. Would have been better than degreasing the barbie...

There were only a few diecasts... but they're the same ones that appear at every show every year..
thats the most dissapointing thing.. same builds every year..

Re: Kilmore Model show, 29/03/09
I had a great day. This is the 1st time I have displayed models, but I may do a bit more often now. Also spent a bit of money in the vendors section (haven't told the other half yet).
