1969 Nova SS-350 (502)
Hey guys,
Finally got back near my bench.....It still has my yellow BM Nova sitting awaiting assembly, that'll happen soon enough..warts'n'all.....Still
not overly happy with how the decals/paint has ended up, but it'll be ok for a shelf filler.....
This new Nova is going to built along the lines of something your grandmother might take to do the shopping.......with a
twist......
Some young punk has just picked it up at a deceased estate auction and shoehorned a dirty great mountain motor in it.....
Still wears the same boring factory paint and will also still have all factory 350 badges in place..
A big motor needs to get rid of gas too, so some brand name headers are going on, but so as not to give the game away to his opposition at
the lights, he got the exhaust shop to add some extra pipe, so a stock style system could also be added...
A hi-performance set of MOROSO blue plugs leads were on the shopping list too....made these up last night.
After installation, I'm pretty happy for my first attempt at these 90deg boots....
Next time I will make the coil boot a tad longer as it fouls on a couple of the others...All in all though, I'm happy.
Also added dipstick tubes to the motor and beefed up tranny. The gearbox crossmember also got an update to an aftermarket style..
That's it for now...still got a week of hols in hand, so I should get some done as long as the weather plays along......
Couple more pix here @ Fotki too guys..
Thanks for dropping by. Any ??'s or comments, critique all very welcome.
cheers
Greg

seems to be a stray wire running into the manifold. Extra fuel line for heavy loads hey.

Cool - thanks for the tip I may have to try that one day.
But why do you need to wear gloves to do that?

Re: 1969 Nova SS-350 (502)
Wow, thanks for the tutorial.
I would have struggled making them AND THEN tried to put the plug wire through!
I'd suggest sliding the boot half onto the longer end of the wire first - less likely to fall off while putting on the other bit.
