This Lindberg 1:24 scale model was modified from having long running boards and guards to the smaller and more sporty cycle guards shown here. I used the existing plastic guards and cut and shaped them to look like the competition version rather than the standard road car. The seats were covered with corduroy material, and the engine was enhanced with some wiring and then detail painted. The flexible external exhaust pipes were made from curtain spring wire. It was painted racing red. The beautiful chrome wire wheels were enhanced with thinned black paint. I entered the model into a Myers model competition many years ago where unfortunately it was stolen, never to be seen again.
