''65 GTO convertible
This is the AMT kit which is pretty basic.
I'm trying really hard to resist temptation and am determined to do the best I can from the box despite the all moulded in 1 chassis and axle through the engine.
It was a good painting day today so i got out the airbrush and shot a couple or 3 coats of this really lurid Aussie Export Enamel...
That's metallic charcoal and no, it wasn't chosen as a result of various comments here about some of my colour choices
I've been using it for various chassis' with good results and wanted to see how it'd look on a body.
I'm thinking black & white interior with white soft top boot. Chassis is black and engine is the closest thing i've got to Poncho engine blue.

Keep resisting Fred!! I used to hate anything with molded in detail and wire axles, but I gotta say now I can't get enough of it LOL. With a bit of paint detailing I'm sure this one will look a treat underneath, keep it coming

Re: '65 GTO convertible
Don't have any flouro blue
Must admit i've made a few minor changes to this. Kit wheels had to go to be replaced with some nice deep dish 5 spokes, chrome hood scoop trim looked too clunky so that was replaced by a simple centre brace and both bumpers had nasty mould separation lines on the ends so they've been stripped and will be body colour.

Nice work so far mate. I've got one of these in the shed too - might have to go out and take a quick look at it - could be fun to build 'em together...
