Dale Earnhardt's #3 Brickyard winner Empty Dale Earnhardt''s #3 Brickyard winner

I was a Dale Earnhardt fan for many years. I watched him do things in a race car I had never seen. The man had no fear. He was a tough guy. I liked that. I built up a collection of his cars and will post up a few from time to time.

I built this in honor of Dales Brickyard win. The suspension is lowered and again the dash is scratchbuilt Its wired and plumbed and loaded with goodies. It use to have functional hood hinges but those broke in our last move and ill replace them soon.

That looks like a great tribute to "The Intimidator". Nice detail in the engine dept. too. Is this his 1995 car?

Sweet build, think i have this car too. Why do you lower them? Is the kit ride height too high or do you just prefer them a little lower? Are there any "issues" with building the kit? Thanks Very Happy

Thanks, guys Ill take some more pics as soon as i get a chance.
These kits are pretty well done. i lower all my Nascar kits because the real cars sit quite a bit lower than the kit versions, especially on super speedway cars. Most of these teams had around 15 different cars for all the different types of tracks they run on. The new COT car changed all that. Now all cars must be identical at all tracks. I lower mine about 1/8 of an inch. It makes a big diffeence in the over all look of the build.
