Some old Mercs
I'm a big fan of pre-war Mercedes Benz sports cars and other interesting Mercs. These are just a few in my collection of plastic built-ups.
Entex 1:16 scale 1936 Mercedes-Benz 500K roadster. Not an easy build but the end result is worthwhile.
A real oldie - Monogram's 1:24 scale 1934 Mercedes-Benz Cabriolet. The model's normal plastic surface was finished to a higher polish degree than I could paint it?
Heller 1:24 scale 1947 Mercedes-Benz 170V sedan. A beautiful kit to build with no problems at all.
Italeri 1:24 scale 1939 Mercedes-Benz 540K tourer. A fabulous kit - everything fitted perfectly. It is entirely hand-brush painted with Tamiya acrylic paints.
AMT's good old 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL coupe with optional Rudge wheels that came with the 1:24 scale kit. Engine detail is superb in this model for its day.
Johan 1:24 scale 1930 Mercedes-Benz 500K supercharged roadster built as one supposedly owned by Adolf Hitler. Johan models are renowned for their fidelity and detail. This one is no exception.

What a collection. I particularly like the 170V.

Re: Some old Mercs
The Heller 170V came from overseas, as at that time (early eighties) you could not easily get Heller kits in Australia. When Zimbler became the agent Heller models really came to the fore and I saw many of their model cars, ships, and aircraft being built for competition and show. The 170V also came in a van version. I have one but unfortunately, when it arrived the box had been crushed and the van roof was broken. I still have the kit and hope to build (and repair) it one day.

Beautiful work Terry!! I really love the Benz 500K exceptional work, did you incorporate any added details into these builds?

Thanks Sean. I used coil springs for the flexible exhaust pipes on some of them, and all the engines are wired and plumbed. Other than that they are pretty much box stock and detail painted. There is a model of a Monogram Bugatti T35 on page 2 or 3 of this topic, where I did add more details - you may like to look at that one too.
