plastic wood

Anyone know how to turn plastic wood to look like old dryed wood,its on the back of blitz truck will be building it as a old dump truck in paddock.

hers a suggestion 4 you allan, i found cigar canisters are lined with paper thin sheets of real wood, i did have some but ive lost it all now... ur local tobacconist may be able to tell what gigars have this packaging, unfortunetly i cant remember lol.

Try some venneer edging mate, any local cabint maker will hav a sh!t load in stock, Now be very careful wen ya buy this stuff coz it comes in two ways, it either has pre glue on the back, or non pre glue, ya want the non pre glue, then ya just need stainer to get your reqiured color, hope this helps mate........

If you find a railway supplier they some times sell scale timber and this may sound strange but so do doll house shops. To age timber mix white vinegar with a non soapy steelo pad let it sit for a few days just paint it on and the timber will age the more steelo in the vinegar the older the timber will look.

thanks guys,found on the web,were one can use mix of dry pastels over base colour then fix with dull coat.will try that frist.
