Lae's first build
My 5 year old Great Nephew has completed his first build.
He's not quite ready for plastic yet but Great Auntie Mrs z got a wooden kit that we built and he painted.
I'll be recommending to the CFA that they adopt this colour scheme...

Re: Lae's first build
Well we all have to start somewhere - a wooden model is as good as any to begin the training. Well done to your great nephew Zenrat.

Re: Lae's first build
Great job Fred. You have also boosted his self esteem and fine motor skills in the process.

Too late!
Always good to see the youngin's getting into the hobby.
To your Nephew; Well done mate You've done a great job. I like how the sides are different colours, you could trick people driving down the road. People on the left would think it's green and yellow and the people on the right would think it's green and red. Very tricky..

Re: Lae's first build
And the back door is blue!
I think he did really well despite the glue they give you being crap. We used gel superglue in the end. I glued and Lae (very carefully) put the bits together.
For the record I had no input in the colour scheme except for opening the pots of paint when told to do so. Obviously when you're 5 it's important that you use all the colours you've got. It's also important to mix up your own colours if you find you have an unpainted ladder and no colours left unopened.
For the record it's a purple ladder. It's just that the blue is quite dark meaning we got a Deep Purple (my smoke on the water comments went right over his head - children today! )
