MCR Fairlady Z – My first tuner!
Got this one wrapped up on the weekend. Far from my best effort, but right now I’m just pleased to have it off the bench. Had lots of probs with this build. Not necessarily the kit’s fault, but just trying new things that didn’t really work out. Not terribly happy with the colour or finish of the paint - but what can you do? Never built an Aoshima kit before. It had some weird assembly sequences that caused me some concern, but otherwise a pretty standard affair. It's no Tamiya rival though, and I won't be rushing out to buy another one.
And here’s a few with its much older sibling that inspired the colour scheme.

What's that old song, "It ain't what you do, it's the way that you do it". Only you could make an average kit look great - top job Bryce.

I'm with you Bryce never was a fan of Aoshima kit's. Always had some drama with them.

Not to detract from the great job you've done Bryce...
...but the wheels on the Big Brown Zee look too small. Or maybe the tyres are too low profile?

Re: MCR Fairlady Z – My first tuner!
Thanks for the nice words guys – glad you like it.
I didn’t say it was a bad kit…just different to what I’m used to. I’m sure after a couple of them you would get used to the assembly sequences. But Tamiya kits are heaps better.
Thanks Chris – I’ve been to see the quack and I have a cream that I rub on twice daily…I’m now back to hot rods and kustoms.
