Aussie raced Ford Sierra's
Hello again everybody. I'm in a massive build slump ATM so until I'm motivated enough to get back to the work bench, I'll post some more old builds for you. I've already posted my Johnson Sierra here so I thought I would show the others in my cabinet.
First is the 1987 OXO car of Andrew Miedecke that raced at Bathurst. It's got DMC decals, RHD conversion and a full rollcage. The DMC decals are slightly inaccurate and incomplete due to poor research.
The next one is the car Colin Bond drove in the 1992 ATCC. The decals are a combination of the 1987 and 1989 RooDecal sheets plus a few from my decals spares box. It's got wheels from a Tamiya Nissan Primera, mirrors from an F1 car, has a full rollcage a modified exhaust pipe and RHD conversion.
This is Peter Brock's 1989 Bathurst car. Decals by Roodecal, full rollcage and RHD conversion.
This Sierra was driven by F1 World Champs Alan Jones and Denny Hulme to 5th in the 1989 Bathurst 1000.
Decals are RooDecal.
and finally is the Sierra that came 2nd at the 1989 Bathurst 1000. Roodecal decals.
All of these were built a while ago so please excuse the dust and rough edges. I think the last one that I finished was the OXO car and that was over 3 years ago. I have a few more in the stash but I'm always avoiding them for some reason. Thanks for viewing.
Cheers SS

Great builds Shawn - those decals are difficult to place correctly and you've done a top job on them. I hope just looking at what you can do (when you want to) will stir you into action once more. You've just impressed the hell out of me so get to it mate.

Re: Aussie raced Ford Sierra's
Thanks guys. I hope to get back in to it soon, just waiting for something to go CLICK and I'll be off and building again.
Yeah us ford fans felt the same when the Nissan GTR came on the scene. when they failed (rarely) and when they won. (too often)

Great builds mate, I hated the sierras and nissans, just think it was b%llshit that they where allowed to race cars you couldn't buy locally. Although the current V8 Supercars sucks too. Bring back the Big Bangers!
