Nissan Skyline R34 RH9...
Hi all, yes it's been a while, a long while in fact, August last year since I have really built anything.
But over the last couple of weeks I have broken the drought, wasn't going to post any photos until I finished, but I figured, what the hell.
I am madly trying to get this finished to take to Tumut next weekend with me, as it will be the only new thing I have.
But on to the build.
The reason for this car is that there was a really nice one that used to drive around here near my house. It was electric blue.
Anyways, I was flicking through my old car mags, and found an article on this particular one called RH9.
The name refers to Record holder, 9 second street car, that is still street legal. According to the article, this is only one of a few cars outside Japan that can lay claim to that title.
This is my interpretation of it, using the standard Tamiya Nismo Skyline kit.
The body has been painted with Dark Cherry Pearl, my new favourite colour. The rest is pretty much standard affair.
The wheels have been sprayed with Alclad Polished Aluminium and brushed with Gold.
Interior is semi gloss black with flat clear.
Any comments criticisms are welcome, thanks for looking.

Re: Nissan Skyline R34 RH9...
Thanks guys.
Bear: It's a Tamiya kit, so pretty much close to perfection, hardly any mold lines. For me the worst part is that it is molded in silver and it's hard to tell if I have cleaned it up enough.
Bones: I got it from my LHS in Parramatta, I think it is still an easy kit to get.
Spent the morning adding a carbon bonnet and rear wing, this is only real difference to the real car, but it's just something I wanted to do.

Re: Nissan Skyline R34 RH9...
Thanks everyone, it has been nice to get building again.
Bryce - I hurt my back at work year and a half ago, so it has been that, along with associated factors, but slowly getting over it.
Anyway, on to the next update, this will be the last, as now it 's on to the final assemblies etc, to get ready in time for Tumut (late nights never hurt anybody).
Got the body cleared, for the first time used 2 pack clear. I was skeptical, but I don't think I will go back to normal clear. This is it before polishing.
I used Scale Motorsport Hi Def Carbon Fibre for the bonnet and rear wing, bonnet is done in 1 piece.
Interior is finished and it is now a rolling chassis.
That's pretty much it, thanks for looking, see you at Tumut.
