Drag Mustang
Started this one quite a while ago, about 3 years ago. Have changed away from the kit wheels. Since photos have lowered the rear. Will now lower the front a bit as well. Kit engine is a bit vague so may change it to something else yet.
Trying to finish alot of kits that I have started and yet to finish. Thats bought my build time down a bit as some are already half started or half completed.

Re: Drag Mustang
Nice one Dave. I reckon it would get down the quarter a whole lot quicker without that huge front bumper.
Apart from that it's lookin pretty cool!

Re: Drag Mustang
I've read conflicting things about this kit.
Hows it going together?

Re: Drag Mustang
It is a basic kit, but the parts go together not too bad. Roll cage could be alot better fitting but not going to bother rebuilding it. Lowered the rear but now the ladder bars foul on the floor. Solution , rebuild rear floor. No pics yet, give me a couple of days.

Re: Drag Mustang
I have gotten back into this build after a bit of a break (busy doing other stuff). Still don't know about the engine, at the moment it has nothing but that will be good for my workshop diorama (See next workshop item). Still yet to do interior.
I have used needles As bonnet pins (4)
I was going to use the original decals but they fell apart in the water and they looked rather toyish. I am looking for a name to call this car as most drag cars have a name of some description. Has anyone got any ideas?????

Re: Drag Mustang
Here we are back with the Mustang. Doing about 4 things at once, this, Yenko Canaro, The Workshop, late model Impala (no photos of it yet). Anyhow they are all coming together. Engine in this is out of a Shelby Mustang I did years ago and have since scrapped. Made a carby spacer and aluminium velocity stack. Used a parts box carby. Will plumb some of the more basic items in the engine bay.

Looking good Dave, especially considering how basic this kit is.

Re: Drag Mustang
Looks Great Dave, as Bluedog said "Basic Kit"
The 1:1 is very basic in real life too!
I think this model Mustang was a savage blow for Fawd.

Re: Drag Mustang
Nice work considering that model Mustang was an ugly duckling to many customers. I like where you're going with this one Dave - keep us posted.
