2006 dodge charger daytona R/T
heres the latest project to hit the bench here a 06 dodge charger i was looking for a new challenger to do but shoey didnt have any in stock so i thought ill give this a try why not although my dad and my uncle kept paying me out with the old saying " if you cant afford a ford dodge a dodge" lol but its coming along nicely skill level 3 though!!! jeeeebuz all the little bits n pieces u gotta put together i had to put my glasses on for some bits :O and yes that is a cup of 2 min noodles it was my late night snack (note to self dont sprinkle garlic and herb salt on beef noodles i only just made it to the toilet)
still contemplating on whether to use the stndard wheels or use the slightly bigger 5 spoke chomies or the 5 spoke black i have
i dont think ive mentioned it but i hate yellow this is only the 2nd car ive painted yellow and its giving me the mc S&%TS! i keep getting little bubbles in places with every coat this is the best coat so far after i had to feather out the bubbles in the roof the right side front guard left doors and the boot this coat only the boot has 2 bubbles in it but maybe another sand and a few more coats and it may.... thats may turn out alright if not im goin to paint it black with purple clear over it

Re: 2006 dodge charger daytona R/T
been thinking about getting this kit have to make it into a two door though (some cars should not have four doors). Not sure if I could pull it off though.
Looks good by the way.

yer it would be hard to turn into a 2 door u could try and cut and shut the body and shorten the chassis

black wheels would look sweet on yellow, but then so would the large chromies, show us the black ones, standard ones look a bit thin and boring!!
nice work on the paint, look forward to seeing this one finished.
I like the look of the challenger as well, think I might have a go at one soon.

update on the charger
heres the update on this lil project the yellow paint is still giving me the mc $hit$ so after i ran out of paint to touch up the bumpers i was real miffed so i thought well its a daytona r/t so ill paint the bumpers black to cover up any embarrasments and ill paint the boot lid black and the spoiler yellow came up alright just waiting for the clear coats to dry im having a bit of problems with the engine i mount it in tight on the engine mounts but the shell touches the engine shroud dont know if thats normal for this kit but im till deciding on wheels ive not found a car i can mount either sets of wheels i bought and by the looks of it ill have to ue the stock wheels for this kit i was gun use black mags on the yellow o i wa thinking of painting the stockies gloss black with yellow rims, the interior is coming along nicely alot of detail with it door handles and seat belt clips etc needs a few more coats to but should look good when done i cheated with the speaker covers used a silver paint pen lol
see how the shell sits right on the engine shroud it actually scratches the shroud
this is jut to show that the engine was glued in tight on the mounts
so the top set are the stockies the 2nd set are my black rims that i want to fit to this and the 3rd set are the exact same as the 2nd just chrome now the sizes arnt to much different but the thicknesses are and the back ones would stick out 4mm or so the front no problemos but i thought instead of attempting to make them fit only to find that i just tubbed it to the point where i cant fit any wheels to the rear i was thinking of painting the stockies gloss black but i wont be making any decisions until i finish the undercarriage and test fit the wheels to see what i like whether i keep em chrome for a bit of contrast or black to give it a meaner look, i would really aprreciate any ideas on how to fit aftermarket wheels as im still not keen on using power tools on small plastic models lol so if any one has any good ideas on this side of things please tell me lol

Re: 2006 dodge charger daytona R/T
alright, set the car together as in interior in then the chassis, then set it on its roof on something soft. Take a clear photo of the back end so we can see where and how the wheels fit. Take a pic of the back (inside) of the rim so we can see how it mounts and then tell/show us by how much the wheel doesnt fit by
Re: 2006 dodge charger daytona R/T
