70 Cuda no.2
Been wanting to start on this one for a while, been mucking around with bits and pieces the last couple of nights. Needed to get the front half of a ds frame mocked up anyway so I can finish the rat killer engine(zoomie length etc). Anyway filled all qtr lights and doorhandles made the front spoiler, assembled and painted main cage and tried making my own carbon fibre floor stickers using tamiya tape and paint (kinda successful) better pics later .

Re: 70 Cuda no.2
Painted the rest of the frame this afternoon and after taking another look at my carbon fibre pulled it off. It wasnt too bad but I know I can do better. Built the rear wing after trialling a couple of already builts and sat it on the mustang chassis for a couple of mockup shots, just as well I'll have to lengthen the wheelbase a bit.
cheers Brett

Re: 70 Cuda no.2
well despite the three or four or more hours put into this you probably wont even see it . I'd cut nerly all the way through the sides of the car then straightened them to remove some of the curve under the body, otherwise they cut right into the slick which are copies of the old satco top fuel tyres. Its actually widened the body by about 4 or 5 mm each side at the bottom. Started on the blower shroud cowl and put the fins on the wing. Primed and touched up the filler then sanded just before these pics, which dont show much.

Re: 70 Cuda no.2
thanks guys spent most of the night applying colour no3 tofind the cameras hardly picking it up grrrr (outlined all the flames with metallic green ,reasonably fine lines). The rest was detailing the engine.
Re: 70 Cuda no.2
Well if that isn't the mother of all badass engines, then I don't know what is? Nice colour scheme and detail work - cool man.

Re: 70 Cuda no.2
Thanks Fred
The gel pen idea was great in theory looked quite good as well just happens to smudge 3 weeks later when trying to decal the body ,luckily it just wipes off (some more) so I did them with green paint (enamel brushed on kinda crap brush) not to bad liveable anyway.
started making up some interior stuff tonight so can gaet back onto this one now
