'69 Yenko Camaro

Workshop diorama is on hold at the moment. Haven't built much lately (last month or 2). Been concentrating on finishing my studies, sent last assignment away Monday. Time to do a bit of building before starting more studies. Thought I would knock this Camaro over as I only wanted to do out of box. Just hoping that the decal dont stuff up. It comes with the white Yenko decals as well. Paint turned out bloody good. 2 coats fine primer on Tuesday, light sand, 3 coats Tamiya Light Met Blu and 1 coat clear. Paintwork finished. If decals turn to shit, may just paint white stripes up bonnet and boot lid.
Oh, DV8V8, hinged the bonnet as well.

An important part of any work environment is something for you to focus on and bring yourself to a zen state ridding your mind of distractions so you can focus all your energy to your work . I've only got wiggles posters to focus on here , that probably explains a lot .....

Nice paint work I have a spare set of the decals here if you have any problems they are in white and black stripes

Nice shine Dave. Haven't seen any of 69s over here in Vegas yet. Plenty of new ones though. Can't wait to get home back to my work bench. I am over this tipping crap!! Cheers.

Finally got some more done. Just a bit more to do.





Bonnet decal has gone down quite well. Will do the side stripes when I have finished handling the car whilst building. Bit of tidying up on the rear beaver panel, didn't fit real well. have to respray section of panel. Body/chassis was a bit twisted and I had to reset the wheels to level the car up. I am quite happy with this build overall though. I must admit that this car looks good.
