41 Woody
Here is a 41 Woody I did a while ago.
I didn't like the plastic woodgrain so I cut out the flat panels and
replaced them with thin wood veneer from cigar boxes. Upper end cigars
are packed in boxes with various types of wood veneer seperating them -
try your local tobacconist.
The framing wood was painted to match.
Rest of the model is pretty much box stock if I recall

Re: 41 Woody
That is a beautiful model Chris. You can't beat real wood for effect.

Re: 41 Woody
Looks great Chris.
That's one kit that surprised me on getting the first one. Not just because the box art makes the model look like crap, but because the model is so much better than I ever expected, despite the box art.
The one thing I find weird is the vertical line in the middle of the front fender and how the tool was designed to part along the fender moulding which can make detailing a little tricky. Although this is not the only AMT kit with such a problem.
A neat surprise in the stock version of this kit (black car on box) is that it comes with a set of really cool chrome wheels.
