Custom Pete

Hi guys, new to forum, thought I'd share a few pic's of my custom Pete, in progress & completed. I built this about 12 months ago. Has extended hood for V16 Detroit, chopped roof, body channelled over chassis, custom rear guards, etc,etc............enjoy.

Saw the pics of this from the Tumut show and was very impressed and that's what sort of inspired my K100 Kustom. Would love to attempt some copping and stretching but not just yet. Do you do all your custom bits or can you buy them, I'm after a big arse chrome visor, may try making my own if I can't buy one. Love those big Texas bumpers too.

Hi Kirk, I make some custom bits & also source some thru the net, usually on ebay. I made the bumper, grille, & rear guards on the Pete; the sun visor is standard kit issue, & the air cleaners are real aluminium off ebay from the states. I've made a drop-visor before from thin alloy sheet which is fitted to a Western Star Constellation( I'll post some pics). I know the rear guards, texas bumpers & drop visors are all available off ebay from the states, but I had more satisfaction fabricating my own. Cheers, GGary.

Hey Michael, they're both Boyd colours in the Humbrol range. The orange is Orange Pearl & the purple is Plum Crazy, both available in a jar or rattle can. Cheers, Gary.
