Victorian Hot Rod Show 2011

The 46th annual Victorian Hot Rod Show will run on January 21, 22, and 23 (Fri, Sat, Sun) 2011. Venue is the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton.

As for the last few years the model car show will be upstairs on the Mezzanine floor.

Bring your models in on Friday and leave them there till sunday arvo when the show closes and you could win one of the great prizes.

There's trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Hot Rod and also Kustom

If there's anybody can assist by manning the stand for a few hours over the weekend, that will allow me to go get something to eat and drink or unload same.

Set-up is Thursday evening.

I'll be there with the tables etc, as early as possible, provided I rememeber to pick 'em up on Wed night after work.

Hi Carps. I will be in there Saturday, i have the car entered in the Ford/Holden show. So if it is any help i could help you out some time through the day if you need it. I will be there from 8.00 till stumps. Oh an i may bring a model along as well.

Seeing as were on Baby watch here, I can definitely confirm that I may or may not be able to attend by weather I'm there or not there by Thursday night,

If I make it it'll just be for 1/2 a day but i'll come and say hello and do a shift on the table for you if i'm there.

I might be able to make it in there tomorrow arvo. Not sure if I will be bringing any models though as I don't really want to have to pay for parking and entry again just to pick them up on Sunday.

Great show this year - the quality of the cars on display was unprecedented.

Shame about the OH&S nazis who kicked me out of the building while I was trying to pack up my models and then wouldn't let me back in to get them because I was wearing thongs and had two kids with me. I must admit, it is pretty dangerous packing up plastic models and if you are going to get run over, a pair of shoes will definitely save your life.
