Hey guys , need a hand in making deployed parachutes. I know there's tissue paper involved , I also know that there's pva glue involved and i know you need to paint the tissue paper once it's cured but other than that I don't know the ratio of water and pva for the job . Any help would be greatly appreciated .

I'd try 50:50 to start with.

Another option could be (although I don't know if it would work) but try how they make model aeroplanes. I have done it before to make wings for a 3D insect that I made.
Make your parachute out of wire into the deployed shape. Then get the plane material (tissue paper?) fold over your wire and use the plane glue. Once it dries it goes hard and keeps everything firm.

Does all this make sense?

Hey guys , I read the other day some where that you can use normal al foil and drape it over the desired shape and then you paint it with a flat colour , both sides and then glue your shute lines to it. I'll try it with a kit I'm doin and see how it turns out scratch
