53 F100 car carrier

Hi all this F,y was complete ,then l got this idea .
I stoped to work on another project ,,lucky l must say,, because the other day a mate showed me this months Street Machine mag , in it is a 36 chev !!seen it ? if not its worth looking at just for the chev,,anyway thats what this will be based on now ,was stuck on how it should be ,not now ..lol





The rails between cabin an diff were way too long (spring w/bounce) too long ,just after adjusting this l seen SM mags chev.

Wow who would have thought of a stretched F100 carrier? It's a great idea and you're off to a good start. Good luck with the project and show us some more progress pics soon.

Cheers guys , after getting the idea ,l started too Google an came up with this Chev

And the big red COE ,got a file for it tittled'' fn bigred'',says it all ,wot a beast .. in the end it wil look ike the Chev l hope , but with the same strap down idea ,straps over the tyres .like the SM mags Chev ,perfect for trailer queens ,what a look , seeing that coming down the hwy withs its tresure on back .

These new pics show the box in position ,engine needs its mounts made ,l hope under the bonnet too look sort of modern stock ,so it needs too be under it.

The rear rails still need to be extented the longer rails are ready to go on

Hi all , back again , My house has had some reno done , during these dark days my model room was packed away lol then my P.c crashed ,,anyway everything is unpacked n back to normal .
just hope my P.c can keep its RAM 2geather .
Plan to get stuck into this build its been sitting in the back of my head calling "" unpack me ""

Hi all , been working on the hauler , well not really working on it but working out ways too repair an continue build , need more evergreen styrene for the rails an mounts etc , its on hold for a while problem is the mistake l made with the lenght of the rails , now l can not figure out the type frontend to install ,F-350 front axles fit nice in track/width , springs how to mount them? or just a simple leaf spring type hhhmmm? l found a 60ISH Ford F-type truck 600 series l think that is what they are called? , its heavy duty unlike the 56 F-100 frontend ,suit the heavy F-350 rear better.
Really wont this done ,the mistakes l made have put me off a lil , enough to start all over , complete new rails one part not 4.
what do you guys think restart?

Unfortunatly I know very very little about trucks, so I'm not of much help here when it comes to advice. But I will be watching this build and hoping it turns out well for you, looks like an awesome project, something I'll have to try myself sometime

Looking great so far

I'd just go with leaf springs up front, steering link underneath like a big rig

l seen somewhere(on the net) a guide on how to make leaf springs from plastic card an brass strips ,lets see if l can make 2 clones , an not 1 a lil bigger than the other .
