This is the first I'd built in about 5-6 years that got me back into building models.I built this about 2 year ago now, It's a tamiya kit and totally OOB. If your a mad bike builder or want to have a go at this is a great kit to buid.ZX12R DSC00994-1

Looks great Rocket - particularly like your heat staining on the pipes. I've never built a bike but would like to give it a crack - might have to pick one of these up.

That big 1200 cc engine is something else isn't it? I've built up a few motorbikes and they are a nice break from cars. That Tamiya kit looks to be well detailed and you've done a neat job of building it. Is it 1:12 scale? Love the streamlined fairings.

unfortunatly it is a 1/12 scale, because one of these would go nicely with a garage dio or somthing like that. The only 1/24/25 scale bikes i know of, are from heller and are GP bikes.

There are a few thrown in as extras in some of the older kit's but they are generally pretty low on detail. the best I've seen in 1/24 - 1/25th scale are the diecast ones Franklin Mint released about 10 years ago(?) It was a mixed series of 12 Harleys including some really early ones (about 1910 I think) right up to the 'glides.

here is a couple of them i have in my cabinets. I have a few others but no pic's at the moment. If anyone is interested I will dig them out and post them seperately.

Yes I'd like to see them in a separate thread. They look real neat next to the car models.
