Super Van ( Barris )

Hi, I built this about 6 months ago Painted in pactra acrylic paint.

Bloody hell it looks like it belongs on the moon. What an interesting showcar - Barris must have been flying high when he did this one.

Great build Marshie, I think Tezza is right, there was a period during the 60s and 70s that it seemed George was spending too much time with the hippies and 'having some of what they were having'.

Barris built quite a few way out and wacky vehicles for the movie studios.

Othere's he built for the hell of it and they ended up in the movies anyhow.

Think the movie moguls and George were prolly sharing the hippies 'stuff' if ya get my drift.

yours came out really nice
l have the earlier version called the love machine
it was changed for the movie
it had a couple of extra parts abd different decals
and l have to say l liked the van so much l have the movie
it was called the supervan

l am a bit van buff myself
l did get it from ebay but that was a while ago
l would be more than happy to send it to you to copy
but it is in vhs i hav'nt had a chance to get the dvd program yet
also l do have a dvd called "THE VAN" as well
would you like me to sned it to you

Joe d , I can copy a VHS tape to dvd if you need it done to be able to watch it .

That'd be a great option if sports850 can copy it to DVD for us. I'd love a copy and appreciatte the offer very much Joe. I own a copy of The Van with Danny Devito, have you seen Road Games or Chain Reaction?
