some more doorslammers

Being going though a bit of a building slump lately, but some of the great work going on here has been getting me inspired again. Been dragging my feet on these but getting there slowly.



Jaymar body revell ts chassis/cage. Typical amount of cleanup required for one of these ie shitloads, biggest holdup is the bottom of the grill is pretty ugly, gonna try to putty and re scribe.
Next up is a 57 ts with changed frontend



and lastly a 06 mustang

as you can see the muzzys nose has been lengthened and I've grafted a scratched wing on to the back .

Geez you call that a slump - there's so many on the go there. Bloody fantastic work in that lot Doorslammer - you've got to finish at least one of them for us to admire.

Since I have about 10 of these in various stages of completion, I though I might as well start another, though this one is for a build off on another board so does have a reasonably quick time limit.
I present to you the beginning stages of a Modern day SWC Willys Top DoorSlammer




I've done the black gasser , just about done the early silver/blue so this on will be the darker blue with a bit more metallic

Love the cars mate. Your work is always inspiring. Makes me want to change my subject preference. I mostly build trucks, so I might try and blend the two subjects and see what I come up with.

Brass has got something over styrene that really grabs your attention, looks like raw race fabrication

Thanks guys, attached the 4 link mounting brackets and the tinwork and gave it a squirt of paint. Got to do a couple little touchups where I attached the sheet metal, then I'm just gonna clear it. Gives a bit of contrast.

Impressive. Such a shame to cover that chassis with paint, but it still looks great Nice idea using the SWC decals, probably a mite quicker than the original
