i'm building a replica of my own ute, using FPV pursuit body and the engine (boss 260) and wheels from a XR8 sedan. so with a nice body left, i put some spare rims from a Fast & Furious kit (yes that was 1/25 scale kit, giving an idea how oversized they are) into the FPV tires. it will eventually get the 290 from the FPV too. even though they are both biante, the engines have different attachment points (Evil or Very Mad)

Good project! There's an article in the latest "The Diecast Magazine" (June) that shows how to modify an FJ sedan into a Ute. Has some really good ideas and it may be of some assistance to you?
