Ford F250
This is the Monogram kit I needed the glass for.
Thanks to Paul I got it finished (cheers buddy).
You will notice the side decals vanish after the first few pics. I couldn't live with the silvering.
Wheels are from a Revell '30 Woody.
The idea is to depict a pickemup which while being looked after hasn't been pampered and has been used for hauling stuff.

Looks nice and realistic Fred , throw a torneau over the back when it isn't carrying anything and take your girlfriend on a date in a shiny truck .....

Awesome job on the Pick-up. I'm glad you had the engine bay steam cleaned for the photo shoot, shows you take pride in your ride. Love it.

Re: Ford F250
Finally a colour scheme that doesn't assault the eyes. Wonderful build Fred - and there's that bike again. I still reckon you're starting to let us know who the real Fred is with these "he-man" builds? Fab work mate - a real credit to your skills.

Re: Ford F250
very nicely done. you might want to look at decal setting solution to fix the silvering.
Re: Ford F250
Thanks folks.
Warm water and not rushing the decals off the backing paper might also have helped.
Lazy and impatient that's me...

Re: Ford F250
Nice - your bed weathering looks great - how about some tips for the inexperienced?
Those wheels are fugly in all chrome but your paint detailing really improves the look. I dig it!

Re: Ford F250
Thanks Bryce.
The bed weathering is (in this order) Haymes rust effect paint, a black wash (made with gloss clear) and then flat clear then Tamiya weathering powder (rust) and then more black wash in places. The rust on the bumpers is spritzed on satin clear then Rustall & then Tamiya weathering powder. I found that the 2 different rust effect solutions give different colours of rust.
The thing with weathering is patience (which I don't have and which is why I don't weather very often). You have to let the rust develop before you go on and that can take 2 or 3 days and then you have to build up layers.

Re: Ford F250
Thanks. The trick with rusting & weathering is, I think, knowing where to stop.
Tool box is from the Fujimi Garage Tools set. It's actually a "snap on" type drawered box with a hasp & staple added and then glued in with the drawers hidden.
