'AFTER THE RACE"

G'day guys , here's one i did a while ago in a nascar build off,
just tried to make it look like it would after the race , not before .







obviously he's not that great a driver!

the driver cant be that bad, at least he finished !

Must have been racing alone to bring it back that straight hehe.

Nice build mate. I would say nice clean build but .......

Can't see what the attraction to nascar is, maybe it's the spectacular crashes. Nice Model though.

I'm amazed it's in such good condition! Those NASCAR jockeys don't muck around when they go for it. Good on you for trying something different - a great success IMO.

great job on the weathering on it,look's like it had a few close hits.

Thanks every one, it was nice to NOT haveto polish a model for a change, sorry Sporty, no progress pics, did not own a camera or computer back then, there fore i did not even know about model forums,( only crawled out from my cave 6 months ago) All i can tell you is you need a cigatette lighter and something sharper than the end of your finger to poke at it when soft and melty. Weathering is only a dry coat of black blown over it at low air pressure to simulate oil and the scratches is VERY course sand paper or from memory, the concrete path out back.
It was my first attempt at it, so i just improvised, thanks again all.

just noticed that this is the red Maxwell House car,I have the blue one would like to get the red one in 1/25 scale.

I thought the same thing "Rubbin's Racin" Great looking model DeeCee, love the weathering.

Looks like he got jammed up against the wall.....more than once!!
