Forgotten Fairlane

This is the Fairlane I posted up earlier this year, just got done with it's new home, on a slab of Redgum. Enjoy.

Nice dude. I like these Dioramas.

What do you use for the grass and foliage?

The grass was this Dirtcheap stuff I found on that nasty place, from the UK, but is the best stuff I have ever seen. All the foliage is a mixture of woodland scenics and Fredericus Rex stuff.

I may get to a diorama one day, but I think I may build a 1:24 house with a dream garage rather than a workshop for something different.

I've only started to do dio's- they are a heap of fun, once you get into it. I like the dream garage idea.

I figured it might be an easy start point for me as I have built some building models before due to my profession. The only hard part will be getting the car models built. lol. I almost have all the kits I need for the dream team so may take me about 20 years before I get to the diorama. lol

Love the rusty crap, I'm new at it to having always built show style models but after I did the HQ Van "Forgotten Dreams" and just finishing "Out to Pasture" Mustang I'm hooked too retro!
Just working out what to "wreck" next!!! Got a few ideas just working out which one to do first.

That looks nicely finished off now mate, if you want to stop that ford rusting any further, (coz it comes natural to them) stick it in an old fish tank, you don,t need to dust them either then.

Must be in a good resting place and middle of the country,away from the salt air. Not much rust, no bullet holes of smashed glass, no vandals around either. What a restores dream find that would be. LOL
Excellent work on the diorama.
Just thought of an idea, do another one to display beside on another base, but as it would be as if it has been sitting there for another 20years, that would be a challenge.

Where I am, in the country, there are plenty of cars around like this(but you gotta drive on the backroads a bit to find em )

That would be a lot of fun,never know what you will find.
Most around the coast where i live tend to be on the rusty side.
As I said good work on the diorama. My comments were only in a bit of fun.

No offence taken, I just tend to use local stuff for inspiration (and it's close to grab photos) Coastal ey..... Hmmm, maybe I'll do a coastal area car for the next one.

sounds like plan. Regretably I don,t get much chance to get out and look for old wrecks to take pics of now days.

I'll have to upload when I'm home tonight, but I do have a few, one in my own front yard even- AND it's close to a van too!! kind of, XK falcon wagon!! I'll post 'em in the 1:1 reference.
