This is what it looks like at the present

Still got to get the right wheels and put fuel tanks and all the trim on but i'm happy with the result so far. It is my first venture into mix and match

Thanks again to all who have written in the how to area i spend a lot of time in there

Hi allan
I used the inter transtar 4300 eagle you can see in the back ground. Gave me some interesting problems not being a cab over. I think i should have used the older inter transtar the COE version. The interior of the cab i have changed as well the real one had the bench seat removed and another single seat put in so that a fridge could be mounted next to the gear lever.

I did touch up the paint work before i did the final put together of the cab. But at this point i am resonably happy

Thanks guys the original acco i am trying to reproduce was owned by Barry Phillips from adelaide doing adelaide to Perth.
It was his pride and joy. He almost cried one night when he was asleep and i hit a roo out of Norseman and lost the right hand front mud flap.
I still have to do a bid of work on the paint work and also make up a sunvisor (still trying to work that one out) and also i only have temp rear cab mounts. I have not quite worked out what i'm going to do there yet. But it is all a learning curve.

From my old memory there wasnt any rear cab mounts ? Half way down the chassis there were two steel arms that were rubber mounted to the chassis ,and the cab rested on them and you would then push two rods, one that was at your feet and other one on passenger side in through them till they clicked . They had a very basic locking clip . When those arms wore in they were a mongrel to line them up as well as pull the cab down .

you got it right i can remember fighting with this cab trying to get the passengers side one done. I'm just looking at ways to set that up on the model may just leave it the way i have for now.
