Ordering from KFS
Has anyone ordred from Kit Form Services in the UK? It seems to be a bit of a drama as they don't accept PayPal and you have to get a quote so they can discount the VAT...etc

Re: Ordering from KFS
I've done countless order's from Howard at KFS (and he's looking into casting the Mack HRV i've got on the workbench at the moment).
You can download the order form fill it out and scan it so it can be emailed to him. There are directions on his website on how to deduct the vat from his prices and amounts listed to you can add the correct amount for shipping.
If you ask nicely, he'll even let you pay it off (lay-by style) if you have a large order. That's how i got $400 worth of parts as well as one of his Noteboome trailers.
Nigel can get his his stuff as menioned (and before anyone says or thinks anything, i've known Nigel and Renee personally for a number of years now) however it can work out dearer this way as he does occasionally add his little bit to it (as any buisness would) and also can & should add GST to it.

I,ve bought from KFS, good people to deal with. Downloaded their order form, filled it out, emailed it back, had the items here 3 weeks later.

Re: Ordering from KFS
I had to chuckle at all this.
We've got so used to instant click & pay ordering that it throws us now when we have to revert to the "old" ways...

Couldn't agree more. I've spoken to Howard in relation to this a number of times and as he's said, he's a 'one man operation', a Retiree (ex Army) and does all of this in his own time, he's not 100% on a lot of computer & internet stuff and he find it easier this way.
He is however, more than happy to do some form of secure CC transactions for you. Instead of putting all your details onto the form and emailing it (and hoping it goes to the right place), send him the form and in the body of the email message, include half of your CC details (half of the number and expiry date) then send him another email with the remainder of the number and CCV number

Re: Ordering from KFS
Remember sending off a self addressed envelope for a catalogue and then filling out a form & posting off a cheque to pay for the goods?
And getting an international money order if it was an overseas purchase?
Oooh, synchronicity - my spell checker doesn't recognise the word "cheque".
