Re: Jet Racer
3 wheels - classed as a motorcycle for record purposes IIRC.
And that's a rocket motor not a jet.
But enough nit picking, it's only 'cause i'm jealous. Thats very nicely done. I love it.

Re: Jet Racer
Body & (rocket) motor are left overs from an old Monogram B-58 Hustler kit. I am getting closer to a real belly tanker though. I have a very talented son-in-law who is turning me up a 1/25 split buck based on the P-38 tank profile I found. Hopefully I will get some vac-form halves from it. See how I go.
Fred, it was late last night & jet is shorter than rocket, my son picked me up on it too. At least it doesn't have a saginaw gearbox in it !!!
thanks for the comments

Being Saginaw born and bred I am wondering what this has to do with something being a rocket or a jet. No need for a gearbox here.

Re: Jet Racer
Mate what a beast! I don't like it - I LOVE IT! We just don't see enough of these speed record cars IMO. Well done!
You realise somewhere there is an aircraft modeller cursing you for breaking up a perfectly good B-58 Hustler kit.

Re: Jet Racer
The gearbox gag was a reference to my Rat Rod build when i put a 3000hp engine in front of a 300hp geabox ... oh well, it looked good
As far as speed racers go i still have an aircraft turbine engine & another Alison to find homes for yet - all good fun
