'71 GTX - V10
Next....
This my Revell '71 GTX that I finished last year.
I decided it needed more under the bonnet so I stuffed a Viper V10 in and dressed it up a bit.
Pegasus wheels, Dark Plum automotive acrylic paint, tinted rear window and an aluminium exhaust system that ends with custom exhaust tips out the side.
There's a few scratch build items under the bonnet too, air filters, radiator, trans cooler, battery and catch can.
This got me a 1st at last years S.A. Model Expo so I'm pretty chuffed with this one.
Cheers Tim

Re: '71 GTX - V10
that is perfect. How you guys get suck detail paint on things like little badges and rocker covers has me beat. Actually how you get such fine detail on every thing is beyond this old bloke.

That is sweet!!! Love it TJ. You made something hot outta the "ugly duckling" GTX. Killer detail.

Re: '71 GTX - V10
Thanks guys, this was a fun but challenging build trying to get the V10 in and plumbed up. And the paint.....yeah it was painted twice, wasn't happy with the first go. The other trick is patience and really let the paint dry (for weeks if you can) before trying to polish it.
baZOOKa the answer is lots of magnification and tweezerss lol my eyes are getting worse with age too.........
Cheers Tim[i]
