Drag boat / Ski race boat

Hi all,
I have wonted to do a boat to go behind one of my still building models. I ended finding a old AMT drag race boat kit.. brand new....
The trailer will be longer and am adding another axle, filling all the trailer sides etc, 23in wheels.
At this stage it will go behind the caddy tow car, will change the wheels so they are all the same.... the centers will be the same blue. The paint ... i think i will go with blue/silver with flames....

Gonna be wicked, i've done a couple of this type of thing and will do more, the boat thing is a nice break from cars, yet still related with the monster engine theme, looking forward to this one mate.

Na just hedging his bets I recon. If it all comes undone in the boat ...he has a free ride to hole in the ground (Undertakers charge a fortune)

ummmmm engine for the tow caddy.... i was thinking a ross gibson 502 TPI chevy..... should have the power needed ????

Sounds like a good choice. Its a nice motor too, have one here for a future pro tourer build.

Nice combo the wheels, the colour and the Caddy...............I really like it ............ oh yeah, it's got a Hemi too so that's the cream on top

Great concept, would be a scary ride with that monster.
I built the same kit but runs a 50hp Mercury on the back!
I got a thing for boats, can't wait to see this one finished.

had a play around with this today. Picked a engine... a hemi and will be going with 2 blowers and a injector hat.

hi all,
this is starting to look how i wont.....still a lot of stuff to work out.
I have cut the rear part off the tranny to make it into a flywheel cover/engine mount, then it will have a tube going from the cover to the v-drive.

Hi everyone..
back on to this one... i've changed the engine to a SBC sprint car engine... plan is have water,fuel and dry sump lines, the pipes will have mufflers etc. Also looking at doing carbon firber decals on the inside of the hull. Alo have picked a name for the boat.
