Re: Old model comes home
Sorry guys- Forgot to comment when I put this in. Still in training. This is an old kit I built over 30 years ago. Lost track of it when I moved house soon after.Recently my brother in law gave me a box of old kits and it was in the box. Bit rough ( brush painted ), but I am not going to restore it, will just keep it as it is.

This looks pretty good as a, what, panel van? delivery?
Good job and it's survived well.

Re: Old model comes home
Seems you were getting the stance right even then. You showed your skills at an early age!!
I often see kits for sale that I use to have & wish I still did.
Thanks for posting it. Maybe others have some oldies from a time before airbrushes, rattle cans & bare metal foil?

Re: Old model comes home
...so that means you were 30 years younger too. Don't ya just hate that part...remembering when you built it and wishing you held up as well as this model has. Looks pretty fresh. Nice job.

Re: Old model comes home
Great surprise to find that, unfortunately I know where all my old models ended up.
Nice clean build, can't tell it's brushed.

Yes - 30 years ago I brushed the paint and combed my hair - the paint stayed on but my hair did not.

Re: Old model comes home
A perfect candidate for "Flashback Friday" IMO. Great to find something you've lost track of. In this case it's a damn good find - nice model.

I'd be happy to build that today, let alone 30 years ago.
