Slowly's 57 Shoehorn
Yup, at it again. Its that 57 Ford Fairlane, pretty good detail and optional parts, but the chassy doesnt fit all too well, so I chopped the front off of it and just glued it on so I can set the ride height and stance without having to tape it together.
Not too sure if putting in an engine, might just do curbside, worked pretty well with the Merc. Plan is for a nice low bum-draggin topless cruisin thang. Iv had this body for ages with the roof almost all off, and im on a 50s kick so here we go aye.
Cleaned it up a tad and glued a bit of sheet styrene to shorten up the cockpit, just going off of whats in my head at the moment, I'll get around to looking at some reference along the way to see how much iv skrewed it up. Only one pic for now, not much happenin. I rekon the front wheels are a bit too far forward so I'll have that change that and it could stand to be a tad higher methinks. Whatcha guys think?
Oh also, whats the opinions on the sort of wheels would look nicer, some hubbies like these, or just steelies? Going with black again, since its the only colour I got atm

Dont worry about ref pics. Just go with whats in your head. If you use ref pics it means ...its been done before.
I like chrome so hubbies would be my pic or moons.

On a roll now KC
If it were me it'd be gloss black steelies with redline tyres to go with the red interior

Cool. Sorta like a big Thunderbird.
Baby blue steelies with trim rings & baby moons would be my vote. And make it lower.

Re: Slowly's 57 Shoehorn
I personally like those wheels, chassis up and body down, jet black and maybe put some moulding around the back of the front seats, a bit like an early vette type of style. gunna look good either way mate.

I like the skirts mate, those wheels look pretty good too, can't help with the 50s style, wasn't alive back then.

Re: Slowly's 57 Shoehorn
You need some side trim pr something to break up that back area if you use the spats...makes it look tail heavy to me...and the 57 always did have a landing deck at the rear anyway. I all for as low as you can go.
