'32 Vicky
This little build started as an exercise in top chopping and has now blown out to a full rod project. It started out life as a gluebomb I picked up at a swap meet a while back.
It's the old AMT kit and I've tried to use as much original stuff that I could while keeping it in line with the Ratrod theme.
So I kept the flathead 8 dressed it up with some 'The Parts Box' parts, heads, manifold and carbies. The intake trumpets are scratch as are the front engine mounts blah blah....just realized you may have seen this engine in the "All the small things" forum. The chassis is Z'd and the front end is TPB 4" dropped axle, finned brake drums. The rear is stock kit parts slightly reworked. Wheels are stock up front and spares box rims and tyres on the rear.
The body is bare bones in keeping with a ratrod theme, and I had to cut the roof out as the heavily glued in window piece made it unrescueable. The chop is a scale 5" and I'm trying to make a 'naked' interior with just door skins and body deadener. The bomber seats are TPB as well, but all the interior rear deck is scratched with real wood and styrene etc..........
There's a couple of trick custom parts I've made as well like the piston and conrod rear bumper and teardrop tail lights.
Anyway I'll shut up now and let you look at the pics
Cheers Tim

Re: '32 Vicky
Friend, that fantastic your work, I really enjoyed how is your project.
The roof is absurdly chopped, so that is good.
I'm following along.
Hugs.

Re: '32 Vicky
Thanks guys. I've got some colour on the body now, just waiting for it to harden up and I'll start sanding and weathering it.

Re: '32 Vicky
I hate rat rods. But this is looking too good to be one of them - too streetable & safe.
Good work.
Good work.

Re: '32 Vicky
There's some decent modelling work in this project. given you're starting from a gluebomb, you're doing well.

Re: '32 Vicky
Thanks again guys.
Retro, that colour is just good ol' Humbrol Brown (186). The idea is to have that as a rusty base with primer and colour over the top, then rub it back and make it rough looking with the bare areas looking rusty................well that's the idea anyway.

Looking great mate, not everything needs polishing. Some top custom body work in there too, love the rear bumper idea.
