Alfa Romeo Guilia Sprint GTA
Tamiya kit painted in Model Master's Guards Red, and then a combination of Tamiya acrylics and Testors metalizers. BMF for the trim and basic engine wiring. Was the usual Tamiya and an enjoyable build for the most, except the attachment of the front and rear windows. This kit had them attach on the outside of the body and I just couldn't get the rear to sit flush. Also gave Citadel Washes a go for the panel lines, but didn't quite like it. Back to Sharpies for me!
Anyway here's some pix:

Nice tidy build chaos, very well finished and presented, nice bit of detail under the hood too.

Re: Alfa Romeo Guilia Sprint GTA
Lovely little Alfa, and a beautifully finished model. I have this one too and started to convert it to RHD ages ago but lost interest. I'll get around to it one day. Have heard a lot of complaints about that rear window, it makes you wonder if someone at Tamiya had a brain fart and forgot to correct the problem before it got to production. Definitely not their usual standards.

Re: Alfa Romeo Guilia Sprint GTA
Nice. That engine would look good in something open wheeled.
Paint thickness can cause problems with tamiya kits as their tolerances are so good. Possibly the reason for the rear window here?

Re: Alfa Romeo Guilia Sprint GTA
Thanks all for the kind comments!
I was disappointed with the window attachment...glad I'm not the only one who faced the issue! Perhaps both the paint thickness and BMF could have also contributed to fitment issues.
