Glutton for punishment - started a '57 Chev double.
It's been a bit quiet on the model building front, so I decide it's time to start something new.
Maybe a later model to take me outside of my comfort zone, and next thing there's a challenge, so it's a done deal coz I hates a challenge.
The challenge is Tri Five Chevy and all I have in my stash is this pair.
As you can see the racer is being transformed from dragstrip to Bonneville and the Bel Air will be a mild Kustom, the tow car.
Was looking OK till I started splashing paint around and it all went wrong.
Dunno why I have so much trouble with small scale paint, since I learned to do it 1/1 as my trade and even if I say so myself, I was once pretty good at it.
Anyhow at least the engine looks OK, it'll be running dual quads rather than the blower set up that comes in the kit.
The underside worked out OK, looking somewhat like a nice oldd show car that's been returned to the street.
Sitting at the table contemplating what to do with the crap paint job, I started thinking the cupboard doors looked a little plain, so I set about fixing that instead of the model.
Maybe by the time I finishes the other door I'll have figured out how to use the airbrush.

Wheels were on the chrome tree in the box (it's an old kit) and the tyres are American Satco (no longer available).
