Thanks! For shure... Here in Brazil exists a wax that simulate the bare metal look. You have similar in your country for sure:

it is also called Rub n Buff i was reading building model trucks By Phil Jenson an he used rub n buff on fuel tanks to make them more realistic so its been around since the 70,s .its on eBay for about $12.00 inc postage.i am going to grab a tube.
