51 Chevy Bel-Air
Finally done with this one, started with a Bel-Air convertible, added a roof from who knows what, channeled the chassis, hinged the bonnet sideways and gave it
the low rider style paint job. Lengthened the rear guards, fill the wheel arches and made a sunvisor for it aswell. Wheels are off Elvira T-Bird, also added an old school tri carb V8.
Thanks for looking.

Re: 51 Chevy Bel-Air
I was skeptical at viewing the under construction thread, but love how it's turned out.
What could piss the Chevy guys off more than repowering one of theirs with a ford?
Doing it with a flathead!

Re: 51 Chevy Bel-Air
dont know what the fuss is about the ford donk, if u were building this thing in the early fifties u didnt have to many choices for a V8 as chev didnt fit them till 55 i rekon the ford would be a logical choice

Mate this thing is awesome, the stance, THE PAINT, the body mods and even a good ol' flathead.
Excellent build, master class. Well done.

Re: 51 Chevy Bel-Air
When I was a cameraman for rodders life I seen hundreds of these sorts of customs. So much so they all began to look the same after a while, no disrespect intended, But I think your version is super cool Dale . Outstanding build
