HQ Monaro

this is a resin body that will (i hope) be a HQ GTS 308 yellow with black stripes

Looking good so far - I like the accurate rendition of the bonnet hinges too. Nice work on the door trims - does the raw material come with the body?

the body comes with bonnet, grille, bumpers, dash and headlights the rest u have to make yourself, Shoey has been tellin me i gotta hinge the bonnets for yonks but it was Daves Dodge that really inspired me to give this a go.

Will be watching this one.

Looking good DV8V8, Shoey does a great job with his bodies it's a pity some low life scumbag c$#t is ripping him off by moulding his Monaro and selling them on ebay.

I'm watching with interest how dv8v8 goes with his HQ Monaro 4 door we have one here from Richmond doing the show circuit, as the same yellow colour. I saw Shoey's resin HQ when he came to the NNL Show at Gundagai as Checkmate knows too well. And as for lowlife's copying something (without permission) I would like to imply to everyone not to purchase thier products. I wouldn,t like it if I found someone had copied my HQ Monaro T-Shirt ,which is a copyright design, legally , AND, it cost me a few dollars and six months waiting to get it that way. I have one of Shoey,s HQ Monaro's and I applaude him for producing it as he has captured the correct shape and bodyline of the HQ pretty well. I should know as I have had my !:1 HQ Monaro for 32 years. Struth, this was only going to be a short post!

I agree Big Bad Kustom, everyone should boycott purchasing stuff of people who mould other peoples stuff and rip them off. The guy whos ripping Shoey off on Ebays user name is WALKINSHAW01 and his ebay shop is ONE TWENTY FIFTH CUSTOMS and his location is Petrie QLD. I urge everybody NOT TO PURCHASE ANYTHING OF THIS GUY, WHO IS RIPPING OFF ONE OF OUR MATES AND MAKING MONEY OF SHOEYS HARD WORK. LETS SHOW THIS GUY AND OTHERS LIKE HIM THAT US MODELLERS DON'T TOLERATE THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOUR.

I whole heartedly agree with everyones sentiments about the scumbag from QLD.

Now back to this model, I'll be watching this one very eagerly as I used to own one when I was a lad....except that it was red/orange with black GTS striping.

John that's one bright Monaro and a good representation of the HQ series of Monaros at least they're true Monaros and not the silly 2 door commondoor that Holdens tried to bung onto the Australian motorist.

Ummm, all 2dr Monaro's were based on there 4dr brothers from HK onwards not just the last one. A lot of people don't reckognise the 4 doors as Monaro's as originally Monaros were 2dr which made them unique. Some say the 4dr is just a tarted up Kingswood which anyone can replicate.
