Kenworth T908 tri
Hi all
I am trying to make a t900 kit up to look like the t908 with tri drive Hampton Transport in Perth have one.
Has any body tried adding the extra axle?
I have been stuck at home for the last six weeks with another six to go so have been working on the half finished jobs i will take some pics tomorrow and post them.
Modelling is a good way to stop going around the bend
Thanks
Jim

Re: Kenworth T908 tri
Are you looking at using an Auslowe conversion kit? You will need a revell or moebius lonestar if you do. You shouldn't have to cut the chassis if its a tri drive with a sleeper. Cheers. Can't wait to see it on the bench.

Re: Kenworth T908 tri
I have been busy working on three kenworths from Hampton transport A t909 T904 tri and a t600
The t909 is using the cheap W900 kit from Revell with some additional parts from auslowe, The T600 is using theT 600 A Canepa with again some additions. The T904 tri has been interesting and is a combination of two revell w900 kits with additional parts from Auslowe and aussie resin. I hounded Hamptons, Kenworth perth for details of this truck as it had non standard neway ad suspension set 1520 apart and 6200 from front axle to centre axle of the tri. It is still a long way off being finished and the other two are just needing some bits and pieces. The following pictures show the real trucks and the models. Thanks to Hamptons and Kenworth perth for their help and Nigel for his assistance.
I will post more pictures as we get closer to finishing off." />

Re: Kenworth T908 tri
Ah look forward to the progress with these mate!
I worked on a mine as a fitter in the Goldfields and Hamptons hauled the ore from the mine to the process plant, I remember when their brand new T904 (tri) arrived on site, man what a tough looking truck, mine spec, with day cab, they also had a Tri drive Mack Titan from memory.

Re: Kenworth T908 tri
Awesome work mate
Your photos look good to me, have you got the 'macro' feature on your camera?
Macro will give you good close up shots.
You can go that one step further and set up a photo booth using a white background, this will really help the pictures stand out.
I only do it now and then, I prefer to use my garage dio...
Cheers

I'm not that much into trucks but I have to admit you got wicked skills in building. The paint jobs and attention to detail is awesome
